Earrings - Fashion Jewelry Style:

Most people have a preference about what type of metal they prefer for their earrings. While it may seem that most like to wear gold (or gold colored), there are many who don’t like the look and prefer to buy and wear sterling silver jewelery or Costume Jewelry Earrings because of both price and Style they represent.

There is just something about Costume Jewelry or Fashion Jewelry Earrings that I love, but the same could be said for those who like gold. If you like sterling silver jewelery, you have many options plus you will save quite a bit of money if you look around.

The biggest problem I have with fashion jewelry in general and earrings in particular, is that many stores sell jewelery labeled as sterling silver, when in reality it is not. If you aren’t an expert on metal, you may end up with earrings which will react with your skin and turn it green or even brown.

True Sterling Silver Earrings should not do this (although they can still go black with Tarnish) but you never know what you are getting sometimes. If you have a nice pair of sterling silver earrings and you're having a reaction with your skin, you probably have something that contains another metal, usually nickel.

Perhaps costume jewelry earrings are so popular with some people because it is less expensive than gold, or even white gold. They often have a very shiny appearance, and if worn right, can look downright elegant - Think Bling and you'll get the idea. 

The trick is to spend a little more money to get quality earrings - Huggies or Dangles, more than the plain old hoops or studs, and skip the discount rack. While the less expensive sterling silver jewellery can look good, it doesn't mean they are going to last very long.

Instead, look for earrings you absolutely love, and spend a little more for lasting quality.

You can buy sterling silver earrings or fashion jewelry earrings just about anywhere you look. If you peek into some stores, silver is most of what you see, especially in gypsy hoops or birthstone style stud earrings because they cater to teens and young adults. Just about everything else is made of a silver COLORED metal or a GOLD TONE finish. These include brightly colored earrings set with any colored gemstones - usually glass (paste) or sometimes Swarovski Crystals.

What you get is up to you, but when you find unusual pieces in costume earrings, you can express yourself without spending a ton of money to do it. Although some of the older Vintage Costume Earrings can cost quite a bit - especially if they are designer label.

You can find fashion jewelry earrings all over the Internet as well; just make sure you know what you are buying. Make sure the items you are considering are exactly what you are looking for, and if the price seems too low, ask about the quality of the earrings before you buy.

If you are looking for great bargains you need go no further than right here, because everything is selected from eBay. Remember, however, that you can get tricked into paying more than you want to for an exclusive pair of antique or vintage earrings. You may find something awesome for 99 cents, but that might not be the whole story. Look at the shipping costs the seller is asking for. At times, they sell the earrings cheap, but charge up to twenty dollars for shipping. That is how they make their money, and this is not a true bargain.
